Tuesday Push: MyMunster, network for Muster rugby fans

It’s only Wednesday and already the cluster of posts for this week’s Tuesday Push, MyMunster.com, is up and running here:http://www.irishblogs.ie/theme/mymunster/.

Of course Munster is the province that best taps into the emotion of its fans. With passion coursing through their veins, sometimes it seems like it might be Munster first and Ireland second.

MyMunster has a nice blog here: http://blog.mymunster.com/ which covers the Irish team as well as Munster rugby news. They also have a Twitter account here: http://twitter.com/MyMunster.

According to the website, “MyMunster.com is the website to chat with Munster Rugby supporters. Join up to discover new friends. On mymunster.com you can discuss matches, enter competitions, and check out our library of cool Munster rugby photos and videos.”

I wonder would the site do better if they opened up their forum to non signed-up users? In anycase I tried to sign-up and got bounced from the sign-up page - hopefully I will get an email allowing me to sign-up.

UPDATE: It seems my account sign-up worked. The site has discussion area and spot for photos and videos. You can add friends and you will get an email notification if someone messages you - which helps in getting people back to the site. Seems to be a surge in activity following the Tuesday Push. Some Leinster supporters lurking…
